HOW DOES IT WORK?
Hydrafacial utilizes the unique Vortex-Fusion® serum delivery system is what sets the HydraFacial apart from other procedures. IS THERE DOWNTIME?
Hydrafacial is a no down time treatment. In fact you will walk way feeling refreshed and be able to see the instant glow.
Your Visit
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
-
Stop using Accutane for six months before treatment unless you’ve been given clearance by your doctor.

Refrain from any chemical peels or lasers for 2-3 weeks prior.

Wait 2 weeks after Botox and filler treatments to have a HydraFacial treatment.

Botox and filler may be done on the same day, but only after HydraFacial treatment.
One Week Prior
-
Avoid taking medications or supplements that thin the blood—Aspirin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and any NSAID’s (Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory agents such as Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxen). Please consult with your primary care physician/practitioner prior to discontinuing any medications.

Avoid excess sun exposure, including tanning beds for 1 week before treatment, and use physical/mineral based SPF 40 or greater sunscreen daily
48 Hours Prior

Do not use any type of exfoliants 2 days before treatment including scrubs, AHA’s like glycolic acid, and BHA’s like salicylic acid.
24 Hours Prior
-
Do not drink alcohol.
-
Avoid caffeine.
-
Those with facial hair, shave the day before your treatment, NOT the day of.

Discontinue use of Tretinoin type products (Renova, Tretinoin, Retin A, Retin A Micro, Tri-Luma, Solage, etc.) and Hydroquinone products at least 2 days before treatment.

Be well hydrated prior to treatment

If you have a history of cold sores, consider beginning prophylactic treatment with Valtrex or similar no later than the day of treatment.

Notify our office if you develop a cold sore or open lesions in the area being treated, or experience any type of illness before your treatment.
DAY OF YOUR VISIT

Please arrive at the office showered.

Wear appropriate clothing/undergarments for the treatment area. We do have one time use clothing options available if needed.

Continue to hydrate.

Body piercings may need to be removed if under or near the treatment area

Notify the staff of any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment
AFTER YOUR VISIT
What to Expect Immediately After Treatment:
-
Your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.

You may experience tingling and stinging during the treatment. These sensations generally subside within a few hours of treatment.

Client experiences vary. Some people may experience delayed onset of the previously mentioned symptoms.

Contact us immediately if any unusual side effects occur or if symptoms worsen over time.
Next Steps:
-
You will likely see results immediately after treatment, and your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for one to four weeks. Purging is possible in the days after and is usually mild.

If possible, leave the products applied during Hydrafacial treatment on all night. You may wash the area treated the following morning using a gentle cleanser.

Makeup may be applied the day after treatment.

For improved, longer lasting results, consider medical grade skincare products and monthly HydraFacial treatments.

The treatment area is more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 40 sunscreen, preferably a mineral/physical based sunscreen.

Aggressive exfoliation, waxing and products containing strong acids such as chemical peels should be avoided in the treatment area for a minimum of two weeks pre- and post-treatment.

Avoid the use of Retin-A type products for a few days pre- and post-treatment.

Botox and dermal fillers may be done the same day, but only after Hydrafacial treatment.

Wait 2 weeks after Botox and filler treatments to have a Hydrafacial treatment.
