Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DOES RF MICRONEEDLING WORK?

Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT. The Secret PRO use semi-insulated and non-insulated gold-plated needles that deliver high-intensity radio frequency energy into the targeted tissue accurately and safely once the needles penetrate through the skin. This gives a uniform warming effect to the deep tissue, which helps to stimulate new collagen fibers to grow, leading to significant improvement to skin laxity, tone and texture.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

RF Microneedling can significantly reduce and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, appearance of enlarged pores, hyper-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks.

At Artistry Wellness Hawaii we offer two RF microneedling treatments options:

Secret Pro Refine

The Secret PRO Refine treatment provides fast and comfortable treatments that safely and effectively treat multiple skin concerns on the face and body for patients with all skin tones, all year long. This treatment series improves some of the most visible signs of aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, stretch marks, acne scars, and many other skin concerns. This treatment is ideal for skin revitalization of the face, neck, decollate, knees, and other body areas.

Secret Pro Revive

The Secret PRO Revive treatment combines RF microneedling with CO2 laser to treat all layers of skin and an incredible range of skin concerns all at once. While CO2 laser technology targets the outermost layers of the skin, the RF energy reaches into the deeper dermal layers. With the unique combination of these two technologies, your treatment can be customized to maximize the results of your specific aesthetic needs.

The combination of two technologies gives the Secret PRO Revive treatment the power to treat a wide range of conditions simultaneously. While the RF microneedling penetrates deeper in the skin, the fractional CO2 laser resurfaces the top layers of the skin to improve the skin’s tone and texture. This combination treatment improves fine lines, deep wrinkles, scars, acne scars, stretch marks, skin texture, pore size, crepey skin, and sun-damaged skin.

WHAT AREAS CAN I TREAT?

Treatable areas include face (including nose and lips), body/neck, scalp, stretch marks and scars.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

Topical numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes before the treamtment to minimize any discomfort. The procedure itself takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

A series of treatments (3) are typically recommended every 4-6 weeks initially and then maintenance treatments can be done a few times a year. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6-week intervals.
