HOW DOES IT WORK?
truSculpt iD uses innovative monopolar radio frequency (RF) technology to selectively target fat cells to heat and destroy them. After receiving a 15-minute treatment, the damaged fat cells are slowly broken down and eliminated from the treated area over a 12-week period. Patients see an average of 24% fat reduction from a single treatment session.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
The abdomen and flanks can be treated in as little as one 15-minute session. Maximum results are visible after 12 weeks. Additional treatments may be required to achieve your personal goals.
HOW DOES IT FEEL?
During the truSculpt iD treatment, the temperature of your skin will rise but remain tolerable. The results are even and consistent.
IS THERE DOWNTIME?
Post-procedure, the treated area will be warm and flushed for less than one hour. The warmth can be intense but tolerable, and should never be painful. While you may experience redness that may last between an hour to 24 hours and mild sensitivity to the touch for a few days, you'll be able to immediately return to normal activities and exercise.
WHAT AREAS CAN I GET TREATED?
Show off your newly sculpted figure with complete confidence. Customized and targeted treatments will improve shape, definition and contour. FDA approved treatment areas are abdomen and flanks but truSculpt iD can also be used on arms, thighs, bra fat, double chin. Feel better in your clothes and look better out of your clothes. Your provider will determine your custom truSculpt ID treatment and the area that will help you achieve your desired results.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
truSculpt flex is a personalized muscle sculpting treatment that adjusts to your fitness level, shape, and goals to strengthen, firm, and tone your muscles. The unique Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS) technology uses electrical currents to deliver three treatment options by replicating intensified crunch, squat and twisting actions. One 15-minute treatment can target up to 8 muscle groups simultaneously and is the equivalent to 54,000 crunches!
AM I A CANDIDATE?
Most patients can benefit from a truSculpt flex treatment. During your consultation, your provider will discuss with you if you are a candidate, based on your health and medical history.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Up to eight areas can be treated in one 15-minute session. Remarkable results can be achieved with as little as four treatments. Additional treatments may be required to achieve the personalized results you desire.
HOW DOES IT FEEL?
As the treatment begins, patients feel a gentle contraction sensation and as the intensity slowly increases, the muscle contraction intensifies. The intensity is adjustable at any time throughout treatment and can be increased as tolerated by the patient. Treatment should not be painful. The results are even and consistent.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
truSculpt flex is non-invasive, requires no recovery time, and patients are able to immediately return to normal activities after the treatment. Post-Procedure, patients may notice tingling in the areas treated for up to a few hours and/or slight muscle soreness or tenderness for 24-72 hours.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Maximum results are generally visible 8-12 weeks after the last session. truSculpt flex common treatment areas include: abdomen, obliques, arms, buttocks and thighs. Another great benefit of truSculpt flex+ is that there is no lactic acid buildup in the muscles with this procedure, so muscle soreness is minimal.

Avoid taking medications or supplements that thin the blood—Aspirin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and any NSAID’s (Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory agents such as Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxen). Please consult with your primary care physician/practitioner prior to discontinuing any medications.

Avoid use of self tanner.

Do not drink alcohol.

Hair in the treatment and return pad area (upper back) may need to be shaved

Be well hydrated prior to treatment

If you develop a cold / flu or rash, etc. in the area to be treated prior to your appointment, we recommend that you please reschedule your appointment until it resolves.
DAY OF YOUR VISIT

Please arrive at the office showered.

Wear appropriate clothing/undergarments for the treatment area. We do have one time use clothing options available if needed.

Continue to hydrate.

Body piercings may need to be removed if under or near the treatment area

Notify the staff of any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment
AFTER YOUR VISIT

Redness is expected post procedure to the area treated and typically resolves within a few-24 hours

Swelling may occur and typically resolves within a few days. Bruising may also occur but is less likely

Palpable nodules that are tender to touch or lumps in the treatment area may develop in the treated area up to 72 hours following treatment, and typically resolve over a few weeks

Subjects from CUTERA clinical study were advised to gently massage the nodules for 2-5 minutes twice daily

Multiple treatments may be required

Notify clinic if any of the following occur:

Blister, crusting or skin burns
-
Tenderness, redness or swelling persisting longer than a few days

Nodules that are tender to touch or lumps in the treatment area that last longer than 4 weeks

Temporary numbness may occur to the area treated, but is rare

Stay well hydrated.

Frequent urination and/or bowel stimulation may be caused by the procedure.

Tingling/Numbness in the areas treated up to a few hours after procedure.

Slight muscle soreness/tenderness 24-72 hours after procedure.

Random muscle contraction after procedure.

Increase in metabolic rate results in feeling hungry more frequently. Please be aware of this fact and DO NOT overeat.

Burns beneath the electrodes have been reported with the use of powered muscle stimulators. If this occurs, please call our office for wound management instruction.
